Welcome to “Casa La Costanilla” – located in the historic part of the old medieval town of Vejer de la Frontera, near the Atlantic coast of Andalusia, perhaps the most authentic white village in the whole of Andalusia.
This former Arabic village served as a fortress during the Muslim rule of southern Spain, for this reason Vejer is one of the most well kept villages of the area, and is & was for many years an important strategic point.
The old walled town still present the four original town gates (or arches) : Arco de la Villa, Arco de la Segur, Arco de Sancho IV y Arco de Puerta Cerrada.
Vejer is situated 190 meters above sea level, dominating de surrounding hills & mountains – the natural park of “Sierra de los Alcornocales” the bay of Zahara and the Gibraltar straights.
Our house is located inside the historic walled area of town, our guests can enjoy the peaceful small plazas and street corners, small hand carved stone alleys, white old houses of Arabic architecture, where to these days old traditions mix with new ones.
You can enjoy the virgin beaches & marvellous views that are part of the surrounding of town, as well as take part in many of the local sports & activities – golf, horse riding, bird watching, hiking, paraglidingand the well known local cuisine.
